The new year brings with it some news in AmoreTerra family, novelties that focus on the environmental field: packaging innovation and Tree-Nation project.

AmoreTerra has from the beginning chosen to be transparent and as close as possible to tradition, which implies a link with nature and a way of operating as true as possible. 2022 will prove to be a year full of changes that we hope will be appreciated and shared. 

OUR INITIATIVES

AMORETERRA PLANTS A TREE FOR YOU
We have joined the Tree-Nation program, a 'European environmental organization, non-profit, with which we will plant a tree for each cart (created and confirmed) worth € 70 or more.

Thanks to your purchase it will be possible to plant a tree and follow it in its growth. At first glance it may seem like a small gesture, but it is a way to contribute even in a small way to fight climate change and massive deforestation. 

This service offers the possibility of lowering the CO2 emissions involved in the entire process of production and distribution of products.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

During 2022 we will start the restyling of our packaging so as to make them disposable in the paper.

We will make packaging more sustainable: no more plastic bags and later no wrapping even in cardboard, but totally sustainable packaging recyclable in the PAPER (according to the indications of your municipality).

Our goal is to eliminate as much plastic as possible from our packaging by adopting a mostly paper-based polylaminate pack, coded as C / PAP 81.

As you well know, we are not a big industry and we cannot apply solutions of scale that make it easier and cheaper to take this path. It is a considerable commitment for an artisan reality like ours, but despite this, it is a commitment that we want to make and carry out thanks also to your support through your purchases that support us by choosing to share our commitment.

With this initiative, we are happy to be able to add an important step in our green philosophy.

PROTECTION AND SAFEGUARD OF THE BIODIVERSITY OF ANCIENT GRAINS

AmoreTerra cultivates over 11 types of ancient grains.
A project we are very proud of is the Luce project, also created to safeguard many species of ancient grains, such as: Gentil Rosso, Mentana, Verna, Marzuolo, Autonomia, Inallettabile, Terminillo and Risciola, plus one born spontaneously, the very rare Wheat of the Miracle which has a cluster ear.

In addition to these nine types of grains, we also grow Khorasan, Senatore Cappelli, Buckwheat, Rye, Oats and Spelled in the monococcus variety. The Farina Luce® project was highlighted through a service that was broadcast on RAI TG3 Emilia Romagna
